My work schedule requires that I stay a few days a week in Southaven, Miss. As luck would have it, the Rev’n Rods and Heartland Music Tour made a stop at the Landers Center, just a few miles from my hotel. This was a touring series that made stops in six different cities. It actually was a pretty big event, with a fancy stage, a food tent for participants, and several big-name vendor displays like GM Performance Parts and Meguiar's. After the car show, everyone had a chance to go to a Restless Heart concert. The car show attendance was OK, not huge, but about as good as you can expect from a Monday afternoon car show on a 100-degree day.

Bailey Roddy Benefit Car Show packs 'em in at the Snow White Bar-B-Q
When I saw the announcement that there was going to be a car show at the Snow White Bar-B-Q Drive-In in Lebanon, Tenn., I was expecting ten guys sitting in cars eating lunch. When we got there, I was quite surprised to see an event so huge it required the police to be there to direct traffic. This was a benefit for Bailey Roddy, a 7th-grade girl who had brain surgery for arteriovenous malformation (AVM), a disease that affects the flow of blood from the heart to the brain. It’s nice to see such a big turnout of car people for such a worthy cause.

2013 Dodge Dart SXT test drive review. Economy with history
The Dodge Dart has been a part of the American Automotive scene for more than 50 years. But the nameplate disappeared from Dodge showrooms for 36 of them. Now, after that long hiatus, the Dart is back. I recently had the opportunity to spend a week with a 2013 Dart SXT Special Edition. And even though I’ve always been a fan of big cars with big engines, I now have a better appreciation for the benefits of a small, economical sedan. Let’s take a brief look at the history of the Dodge Dart in general, and specifically at my Bright Silver Metallic test car.
