The word of the day was "Mustangs" at the All Ford Show at the Bass Pro Shops in Olathe

This weekend marked the 26th year of the Mustang Club of Greater Kansas City's All Ford Show, and as is the tradition at this event, there was a lot packed with shiny 'Stangs (and the occasional random other kind of Ford).

This year, the two-day event was held in the Bass Pro Shops parking lot in Olathe. Part of the proceeds went to the Wounded Warrior project.

This was a full-fledged car show, and there were plenty of perks for entering. Trophies were awarded to top-three winners, dash plaques went to the first 100 cars, and there was music, a 50/50 pot, and a Ford-themed swap meet to round-out the festivities.

Around 120 cars showed up for the event, which is pretty strong when you consider that the forecast wasn't ideal, and it rained pretty hard in the Kansas City area Saturday morning. But for everyone who stuck it out, the afternoon turned out to be sunny, muggy, and just right for a Midwest car show.

The photos accompanying this story were provided by our resident Ford aficionado Scot Shamet, who also won a third-place award with his F-150. Ironically, Scot works for the company that made the trophies, so he got to take a little of his hardware back home.

So here it is. If you like Fords, and Mustangs in particular, you'll find a lot to be happy about in the slideshow below. And of course, we thank Scot for doing a nice job with taking these images for us.
