Today’s story marks a milestone with the Hover Motor Company blog. This is the 800th post on here in six years. We have looked at a lot of cars. Of course, avid readers know that before I moved to Nashville, I lived in Kansas City. Last week I went back home, and I figured a visit to Wagner’s Classic Cars would be a fitting article to put here. I was able to go with my dad, which is always great. Plus, they had some interesting things on the showroom floor. So here’s a look at what we saw during our journey to Bonner Springs, Kan. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed going there.

Wagner's fly-by
A couple of weekends ago, I was able to get back to Kansas City. Whenever I do that, I like to try and hit a car place or two. One of my favorites has always been Wagner’s Classic Auto in Bonner Springs, Kan. Yes, this is a dealership, and their primary function is to sell cars. But the inventory seems to change every time I go there, and the quality of cars on display often surpasses most car shows I go to. I always enjoy going there. Let’s look at some of the cars and maybe you’ll see why.

Quality is the key at Wagner's Classic Cars
A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to check out the inventory at Wagner’s Classic Cars in Bonner Springs. I really like going there, because they have some of the nicest cars around. But I held the story back so I could present it when I had fewer car shows to write about. But believe me, this place is as good as any car show. Let’s take a look at some of the exceptional cars that were on hand during our visit.

Beautiful cars, finished and unfinished, at Wagner's Classic Cars
It’s really just a matter of weeks, maybe days now when we’ll find ourselves right in the middle of car show season. That means the time for visiting the local indoor car collections is upon us now. And there is usually no better place to check out than Wagner’s Classic Cars in Bonner Springs, Kan.
This weekend was no exception. The showroom wasn’t necessarily cram-packed with cars, but the ones that were there were very nice. There were also some interesting projects parked around the body shop area that were worth some attention.

Not much, but not bad at Wagner's Classic Car Sales
If you read the big car magazines or watch the Speed Channel, you are probably familiar with the otherworldly classic and muscle cars bringing the six-figure money. And maybe you said to yourself, “Sheesh, I’d like to see those kinds of cars in person.”
It turns out there is a place in Bonner Springs, Kan., that specializes in those very types of cars. On any given day, Wagner’s Classic Cars will have a fresh supply of Hemi Cudas, 409 Chevys, and magazine-worthy customs.

Wagner's Classic Auto Sales is the place for shiny things in Bonner Springs.
If you’ve got some time to kill and want to go see a few really nice old cars, you could do a lot worse than checking out Wagner’s Classic Car Sales in Bonner Springs. I like make it a regular stop, because the cars are always changing.
When you’re looking at my pictures, you may notice a disproportionately large number of them devoted to one ’59 Impala. Clearly, I was smitten with the small-block/Turbo Glide/factory air machine. Some of that had to do with the colors—sparkling Cameo Coral Metallic and Snowcrest White over a stunning Inca Silver interior.

Quality over quantity at Wagner's Classic Cars in Bonner Springs
We're only about a month past car show season, and I'm already getting a little stir-crazy. I know there are cars out there, but they're hiding in peoples' garages. This must be why people are willing to pay ten-times our cost of living to be in places like Los Angeles: car shows all year long!
Of course. there are still cars around Kansas City to see, you just have to know where to look. One of the nicer places to check out is Wagner's Classic Car Sales in Bonner Springs, Kan. Wagner's has a neat little showroom that is usually stocked with high-quality collectibles. It's a great place to go window shop on a cold, fall day.

Wagner's Classic Auto Sales in Bonner Springs definitely had some impressive hardware on hand last weekend
Visiting Wagner’s Auto Sales in Bonner Springs, Kan., can be a hit-or-miss proposition. Sometimes the showroom is loaded with high-end vintage machinery, and sometimes the pickin’s can be a little slim if they’ve sent a bunch of cars to an auction somewhere.
When we went there this weekend, conditions definitely favored the former, as we were able to look at some of the neatest cars you’d ever hope to see. I’ve been to museums that don’t have anything near this good in them. It was well worth the trip.

No car shows? No problem. That's why we have places like Wagner's Classic Cars in Bonner Springs
It’s easy to think that now that the car show season is over in Kansas City, there won’t be anyplace to see any neat cars until next spring.
Well hold on, cowboy. There are all kinds of great places to look at cars around here when the weather gets cold. You just have to know where to find them.
One great place to check out is Wagner’s Classic Cars in Bonner Springs, Kan. I make it a regular stop when I’m out window shopping. Wagner’s usually has a large variety of high-end muscle cars, classics, and hot rods for your viewing pleasure. And of course, if you’re doing your Christmas shopping, all these cars are for sale.
